When you think of the students you are most concerned about, are a majority of them male?

In my work, I find that for most of you, there are far more boys than girls on your list of concerns. Last week a documentary, Raising Cain, aired on Public Television. It provided a rare look into the lives and problems faced by American boys at various ages. Because of my work with empowering educators to differentiate their teaching to meet the needs of individual students, I was interviewed and quoted in an article about how to create a “Boy-Friendly School” posted on the Education section of the Oregon Public Broadcasting website: www.opb.org/education. Please check it out!
I'd also like to ask a few questions and start a discussion (feel free to weigh in).
1). What's the most difficult thing you find teaching boys?
2). Do you find today's boys hard to teach?
3). What works for you?
